1. Who we are and accepting these terms
Pardon My French operates the website pardonmyfrench.tech (the “service”). You can contact us at support@pardonmyfrench.tech.
By browsing the service or creating a Membership, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle personal data and our Refund Policy explains refunds; both form part of these terms.
2. What the service does
We collect Career Opportunities from public and authorized sources, check them for evidence that French-language proficiency is not required, and publish those that qualify. Each Published Opportunity links to an external Application Route run by the employer or another third party.
- We are not an employer, recruiter or employment agency, and we do not receive, review or forward applications.
- We do not guarantee that any opportunity is still open, that its details are complete or accurate, or that you will receive an interview or offer.
- Our language assessment relies on the evidence available to us. An employer may still change its requirements or expect some French. Always check the employer's own description before applying.
3. Membership and your account
A Membership requires a verified email identity. You must be at least 16 years old and provide an email address you control. Keep access to your email and sign-in methods secure; you are responsible for activity under your Membership.
A Membership is personal. Do not share it, resell access, or create Memberships to get around limits or a suspension.
Free Membership is available at no cost. Premium Membership is an optional paid tier that includes the features described on the Membership page at the time of your purchase.
5. Refunds
You can request a full refund within 14 days of your first payment for either plan. Our Refund Policy explains the details and how to ask. When a payment is refunded, the Premium access it paid for ends.
6. Acceptable use
When using the service, you agree not to:
- scrape, copy in bulk, or automatically collect the catalogue, or use bots or scripts to access the service except through features we provide;
- republish, resell or redistribute the catalogue or Membership access;
- interfere with, overload or attempt to bypass the security, rate limits or access controls of the service;
- use the service for unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purposes, or to harass employers or other people.
7. Employers and third-party websites
Opportunity descriptions, employer names and logos belong to their respective owners and are shown to help you identify an opportunity. Application Routes and other links lead to websites we do not control. Your dealings with an employer, including any application, interview or employment, are solely between you and that employer, and their own terms and privacy notices apply.
8. Our content
The service's design, text, brand and the way we select and present opportunities are owned by Pardon My French or our licensors. You may use the service for your own personal job search. Any other use requires our written permission.
9. Availability and liability
We work to keep the service available and accurate, but we provide it as is and may change, pause or interrupt features, for example for maintenance or security.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, for decisions you make based on an opportunity, or for the content or conduct of employers and third-party websites. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer, including the legal guarantee of conformity for digital services.
10. Ending your use of the service
You can stop using the service at any time. To delete your Membership, contact support@pardonmyfrench.tech from the email address you use to sign in. Deleting a Membership does not cancel a Monthly renewal automatically; cancel it first through the billing portal.
We may suspend or end a Membership that seriously or repeatedly breaches these terms. Where reasonable, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to respond. If we end a paid Membership without a breach on your part, we will refund the unused part of a Monthly period you have paid for.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service or the law changes. We will publish the new version at /terms and change the “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects paying members, we will notify them by email before it applies.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country or of France.
If you have a complaint, please contact support@pardonmyfrench.tech first so we can try to resolve it. For questions about a payment, you can also contact Paddle through paddle.net.
